Let Bush Celebrate!
More on the Bush Inaugaration...click here for the full story.....
Once again (or, shall I say, still) Bush is in the hot seat over the inagauration ball...and once again, the question as to whom is paying for it is rising...according to Reuters, private donations are comprising the vast majority of the $40 million dollar gala, but, many out there would lead us to believe that the city of DC would be responsible for the vast majority...(I know, I know, they are responsible for part of the expenses, but please, don't try telling everyone that "poor DC citizens are paying for the even")...people are attempting to get the event "scaled down" and let the money go for other things....Hang on...the money is being donated...who says that the people donating the money want it to go to something else? I mean, if I were donating money to someone for a specific thing and then that person took the money, and did something else with it, I don't think that I would appreciate that very much...Bottom line for this is...."man, give it a rest"...He won, now let him celebrate the victory...do you really think that Kerry would do anyting differently? I mean, really?

In complete agreement. Always good to find the like-minded. Cheers.
Amen!
I think it really has got to the point of whoop-dee-doo on who is paying for the big party. I mean really, does it matter since Bush is going to bring about the biblical apocalypse?
"biblical apocalypse" - get real.
Party time! Actually I look at that $40 million being pumped into the economy - all the workers, hotels, resturants, etc. - something "that other side" doesn't seem to care about.
And had Kerry been elected, he would have had parties that would have out done what Bush has going 100 to 1. Actually, I get a real kick listening to these sore loosers, LOL
You're under them impression I am sad Kerry lost, I really don't care it was a pick between two horrible choices, there hasn't been a good choice since '96. Besides, I'd prefer the biblical apocalypse to the pagan one,I don't really like elves.
I'm with you... let 'em celebrate! Probably be the last chance they'll have for a while.
Of course the DC residents are paying for it alone. You and I are as well. No matter....plenty of surplus money in the budget these days. We'll just put off buying armor for awhile.
I do not know what the breakdown of the cost of inaugration, parade, gala etc etc. Washington DC is footing some of the cost and would be footing some of the costs if it was a Democrat being sworn in. That is the cost of being the nation's capital.
hell I could have used the 40 million fuck bush
